Amazing Spider-Man #58 :
After a truly exciting issue last month, Tombstone is on trial, his daughter is testifying against him, and he just showed up at her apartment by outsmarting Spider-Man once again.
Will he do what needs to be done to stay on the streets or will Spidey intervene in time to save a key witness and more importantly, an innocent woman and hero just trying to do what’s right.

PUBLISHER: Marvel Comics
The Art:
THE COVER. JR hits a homerun once again as his classic Spider-Man in toil cover features Spidey in the middle of a storm, thunder lightning and all. Symbolism much??
The pose, the power and the angst are what makes Romita a legend.
The showdown between Tombstone, his daughter and Spider-Man is something longtime fans wouldn’t want ANYONE else drawing.
The Writing:
I feel like I’m one of the few that has praised Zeb’s writing and Spidey storyline as of late, but I’m just being honest. Zeb has an esteemed background in TV writing and production and is a talented content creator through and through.
If you take away some of the story contents fans didn’t like earlier in the run and focus on the last few issues, he’s really winding this down with a bang.
Look, we all love and feel ownership of Spider-Man, the single most important and celebrated comic book character in history, but we need to be open to new, fresh and different takes on the character.
I personally have LOVED the last few issues, they are stellar.
Overall: 10/10
Yeah, I did it! 57 and 58 are both great Spider-Man issues and honestly, this issue ends in a cliffhanger and i want to read it NOW!
There are moments where I felt like facing Tombstone, Peter wasn’t holding back and I found myself rooting for him to unleash his true power.
We now he often holds back, but not this time. And with what Tombstone is trying to do, it’s time for Spider-Man to show his great power and great responsibility.
If you can’t appreciate the past few issues for what they are, that’s bias, plain and simple!
