It’s that time of the month for everyone’s foul mouthed Warrior Princess to continue her journey. In a world filled with chauvinistic incel men, only Babs can get them in line and kick butt while doing so. The medieval adventure continues and so does the adult humor.

The One You Said I Could Do Without

Babs #2 picks right up from where we last saw our heroin. As she finally settles in to enjoy a bath, she is interrupted by a cursed army. After some fun and revealing banter, the army is on its way and so isn’t Babs. She meets up with Sir Colin Culpepper and even debates her worth and meaning in life.

Meanwhile, back at the village Mork and his rag tag crew are mesmerized by Tiberius Toledo and his army of white knights. It is soon discovered that Mork and his kind aren’t necessarily wanted by Tiberius. However, that doesn’t stop Mork from trying to get into their good graces.

Finally, we get back with Babs who is trying to steal from the dwarves that mine silver. But when she gets to the mine she discovers instead of moderate riches, it is adventure that she shall receive.

An Adult Fairy Tale

Babs #2 steps up all that we fell in love with in the first issue. The adult humor and misadventures hit the spot on every page of this issue. Garth Ennis takes time to do some world building in this issue and provides us with some great character building along the way.

The art in this issue is spot on with the story. The art doesn’t just incapsulate the fantasy aspect of the story, but also the very cartoonish nature of it. Much like the actual dialogue, the art walks the line of medieval fantasy and comedy flawlessly.

Final Thoughts

Babs has become one of my favorite books on the market currently. It’s unapologetically adult in its humor, well still delivering a killer tale. Don’t walk but run to your LCS to add this to your Pull List and enjoy this epic & hilarious saga.

Final Grade: 9/10
