Green Arrow #14 – DC Comics
The Writing:
The Absolute Power event continues with this Green Arrow tie-in, where the Arrow family is on a mission to track down Professor Ivo, the mastermind behind the original Amazos. This issue is filled with mixed emotions about Oliver’s behavior, leaving readers and the Arrow family to question if there’s more to it than him simply going rogue and aiding Waller. The narrative builds on the backstory of the event and highlights how the Arrow family reacts impulsively without Oliver’s leadership. The tension and concern within the family are palpable, setting the stage for some epic battles ahead.

The Art, Colors and Letters:
The art and colors throughout this issue are exceptional. The holograms of Batman and Nightwing during a virtual meeting are particularly well done, with a slightly transparent design that reinforces their virtual presence and subtly downplays their suggestions. The new toys and locations in the Arrow Arsenal are designed with great detail and look fantastic. Close-ups of Oliver and Roy during key moments effectively convey their emotions and hint at deeper plans, showcasing excellent artistry that allows both action and emotion to shine through.
Final Thoughts:
Green Arrow #14 delivers a gripping continuation of the Absolute Power event, balancing intense action with deep emotional beats. The creative team excels in both narrative and visual storytelling, making this issue a nice addition to both the Arrow storyline and Absolute Power event!
