This review was made possible by early screeners of Kite Man: Hell YeahKite Man: Hell Yeah premieres on Max on Thursday, July 18th with two episodes. New episodes will air every Thursday on Max.

The Max original series Kite Man: Hell Yeah is the latest addition to the raunchy animated world of DC, accompanying its companion Harley Quinn, which has been renewed for a fifth season.

MORE THAN JUST LAUGHS

The show stars Matt Oberg as Kite Man, Stephanie Hsu as Golden Glider, James Adomian returns as Bane, as well as Lance Reddick as Lex Luthor and a slew of other actors bringing to life this animated series. The series follows our underdog hero Kite Man and his unique and quirky perspective as a powerless villain attempting to navigate elevating his relationship with Lisa Snart AKA Golden Glider and finding where he belongs amongst the Gotham City villain elites. Kite Man: Hell Yeah brings back the raunchy adult humor while hammering home a relatable undercurrent of finding out who we are. It endears its audiences in its tender and emotional moments while delivering gut-bursting laughs time and time again.

RETURNING TO GOTHAM CITY

Spending time in the world of Gotham City’s “C” class villains has never been more fun. Each episode takes us to new heights and surprises us with its ability to endear the characters to the audience. Returning characters such as Bane and surprise other guests connect the universe being built with Harley Quinn, and with it, the air of familiarity returns. The humor lands as it’s meant to, if not harder, and the show continues to not shy away from delivering blood-soaked action. A strong suit is utilizing its humor to deliver a unique perspective on current social commentaries that, at times, hit a little too close to reality.

Other characters set to feature in the show are Natasia Demetriou as Malice, Janelle James as Queen of Fables, Jonathan Banks as Noonan, Michael Imperioli as Joe/Moe Dubelz and Keith David as Darkseid. These characters perfectly compliment our star cast adding layers to both humor and its overall plot, which honestly is insanely wild for a Kite Man series.

Kite Man: Hell Yeah is the perfect brother entry into this fun, wacky perspective focused on Gotham City without leaning on its moody hero. The show is produced by Kaley Cuoco, Dean Lorey, Justin Halpern, Patrick Shumacker and Sam Register and premieres with two episodes on July 18th on Max.
