READ LAST ISSUE’S REVIEW
Detective Strikman is back with investigating the disappearances of the girl he keeps seeing, and also a little boy. His attitude towards people, and how he approaches different people is still radical.
It is revealed that the little boy that disappeared is the man he is talking to, who is working on an ongoing experiment.Â
Strikman still has flashbacks of the little boy, that frequently haunts him in his thoughts. He ends up talking to this power broker, who is interested in the reasoning why he is investigating the little girl.
Her name is revealed, which is Shelby Waters. Strikman is able to look around some of the letters that were left in her living quarters.Â
Strikman sees the truth, and the power broker wants those letters back. He ends up talking her down, and leaving immediately to find more information.
It brings the story to have the co-detective he worked with in the last issue, to pick him up in the helicopter. In the end, there is Strikman’s ex, with his son who is comforting him through him having bad dreams.
What I love about Lotus Land, is that Strikman constantly wants to know the answers about what is going on. He doesn’t stop until he is able to talk to someone, or find his own answer. I do also enjoy the flashbacks as well.
There is wonderful art, that is plastered through the panels. Very detailed images, especially for when it rains or when something is happening.
It brings me into the story more, and provides inclusiveness to sympathize or care about the characters. Again, this week is on a cliff-hanger, and I wonder where Strikman will end up at.
