DC & Marvel Crossovers are Being Reprinted

DC and Marvel are the biggest comic book publishers in the industry, both creating the greatest superhero narratives of all time. In their long history of competing with each other, there have been occasions where the two teamed up to create amazing stories. These stories have been sought out and difficult to find by comic readers everywhere, but soon finding them will be easier than ever.

On Tuesday, DC and Marvel announced the printing of two omnibuses consisting of their previous crossover events. They are titled DC Versus Marvel Omnibus and DC/Marvel: The Amalgam Age Omnibus. Both books will be available for purchase on August 6, and the two volumes will each have a direct-market-exclusive cover available only in local comic book shops, while supplies last.

What is DC Versus Marvel?

DC Verses Marvel will consist of crossovers from the beginning in 1976 with Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man to 2000’s Batman/Daredevil. You will see stories from creators like Dennis O’Neil, George Pérez, Dan Jurgens, Chris Claremont, Walter Simonson, J.M. DeMatteis, Mark Bagley, Gerry Conway, John Romita Jr., and more.

What is DC/Marvel: The Amalgam Age?

DC/Marvel: The Amalgam Age will feature the stories told in 1996, when our favorite heroes and villains from DC and Marvel merged together and became one. Giving us one-shot stories of characters like Spider-Boy (Spider-Man and Superboy), Lobo the Duck (Howard the Duck and Lobo), Dark Claw (Wolverine and Batman), Dr. Strangefate (Charles Xavier, Dr. Strange, and Dr. Fate) and many more. The DC Versus Marvel miniseries and its sequels with DC and Marvel’s shared character Access are included in this volume as well.
