When you’re reading a comic book about Spider-BOY, you absolutely expect some other young heroes and villains. And in Spider-Boy #3, Marvel delivers that and then some.

Meet Killionaire, the young super villain who hired Taskmaster in the last issue to steal something called the Super Adaptoid, which is a robot that can adapt and use all of the Avengers’ powers.

In the last issue, Taskmaster was only able to abscond with an arm, but another brilliant villain Dr. Stillwell was able to adapt it for young K.

In classic Killionaire fashion, the villain double crosses Taskmaster and orders the adaptoid, now converted to his very own Toy Soldier, to kill Taskmaster.

Back to that in a second.

Understanding Spider-Boy’s Struggles

Much like his mentor, Spider-Boy is no stranger to his adolescent struggles.

Bailey is very much a model day Peter Parker, struggling to eat, struggling to know what to do with his new abilities and much more.

In one scene in issue #3, we see Spider-Boy save a woman and her cat then proceed to ask her for $20. If you are a Spider-Boy fan, you know Bailey also lives in a homeless shelter.

And this scene shows the desperation Bailey is in just to eat and survive.

Once again, writer Dan Slott excels at making these iconic heroes so relatable, which is what makes Spidey an all-time legend for comic fans.

But like Aunt May, Bailey has Peter and his friend Christina, who gives our young hero a piece of her mind for asking a victim for money.

Who is Killionaire?!

Back to our new big bad, we later see Killionaire enjoying his new adpatoid toy while making a streaming video! Talk about a modern-day mercenary.

The art of Paco Medina really makes this villain sing in a modern way.

K is brash, cocky and entitled.

From Hulk to Vision and Captain Marvel, K enjoys this new violent toy and goes on a rampage in the streets of NYC.

Spider-Boy has to step in and save a dog K didn’t like and was sending to her untimely demise. (Nothing worse that those who hurt animals)

To our surprise, Spider-Boy knows of Killionaire! Of course he does.

After battling it out, Spider-Boy pulls out a genius move that we won’t spoil.

Too bad for Killionaire, he streamed his entire law-breaking event, and it looks like the young villain might be heading for juvie.

But as we all know, this will not be the last we see of this big baddie.

“I’ll make you pay,” he screams as the young Spidey swings away.

We are sure you will!

Final Thoughts – 8.5/10
