Picking up from the last Lotus Land issue, Detective Strikman is still investigating the Keeper program. One of the scientists had asked if he had more information on people he had interviewed, and he had said no.
Detective Strikman is still struggling with finding “her” who seems to be the center of the Keeper program. As said in this issue, Detective Strikman likes to investigate his cases alone.
His former partner, Parker, made that comment multiple times just in these two issues.
The creative team behind issue two is writer, Darcy Van Poelgeest, artist Caio Filipe, and colorist Patricio Delpeche. The cover art of this issue is by Dani. The writing keeps the main focus on Detective Strikman figuring out where this “woman” is, and that she is the missing key. Strikman also has some balancing issues with his personal life, with him calling his son to check on him.
His son is receptive, but it seems that he is missing his father. Strikman ends up interviewing people, including a couple that had a man’s husband go missing. Again, disappearances go throughout these two issues already, and I am wondering where they are.
At the end of the issue, another cliff hanger occurs, as I finally see the “woman” who has been missing. Detective Strikman has finally found her, and now hopefully, in the next issue she will speak to where she has been. This issue’s writing was excellent, with a fast pace in the dialogue.
Each panel was intriguing, and the colors were with a sort of edginess. These two issues so far, makes me root for Detective Strikman, and to hopefully solve the case. I also like the complexness of him, and makes me want to delve more into more of his backstory.
