BRZRKR: Fallen Empire has been anticipated for a long time. The creative team consists of writers: Keanu Reeves, Mattson Tomlin. Accompanied by artist, Rebekah Isaacs and Colorist, Jordan Bellamy.
BRZRKR’s protagonist is a survivor of Olos, that talks about a man that is prone to a curses and violence. There is a storytelling element from B. that talks a lot about the past, and what B. has been through.
There are many things that B. has done, that has made an impact on the people who come around him. The survivor talks about also about the many thoughts that he had in his head, as his quest moved him on the outskirts of his homeland.
There is love that intwined as well, of the protagonist talking about B., in a way where he seems charming and having a heart. What I like about BRZKR’s first issue, is that the story is very straight-forward. There is no guessing as to where the story goes next.
I would like to know more about the world around them, maybe some more characters involved. Flushing out the world-building is most important, in my opinion. I love the illustrations, and how they catch the eye quickly. Rebekah and Jordan’s collaboration on the art, gives a unique balance of colors throughout each comic panel.
I want to know more about B.’s character, and I’m wondering where his journey will land him after this. It has become apparent, that Keanu Reeves has brought together an incredible team, to tell an interesting story. Keanu Reeves debut for a comic, absolutely makes me want more from Keanu and the creative team. I am hoping and wishing for more characters to be explored. It would be a wonderful addition, to this wonderful comic.
