Danny Rand, also known as Iron Fist, is a skilled martial artist and wielder of the powerful Iron Fist. As one of the most skilled fighters in the Marvel Universe, it is no surprise that he has faced his fair share of adversaries. However, the question remains: who was the first villain to target this master of hand-to-hand combat?
While some may argue that Danny’s parents killer was his first villain, the real answer lies with Davos, also known as Steel Serpent. Making his first named appearance in Iron Fist #1 in 1975, Davos had once attempted to obtain the Iron Fist power for himself.
When he failed, he made a vow to take the power away from anyone who obtained it, making him Iron Fist’s first true villain. Despite multiple battles for the Iron Fist power, Danny Rand always emerges victorious over his arch-nemesis, Steel Serpent.
