Here Is What We Know So Far
Boom! Studios, along with Netflix have just confirmed that the TV adaptation of the hit horror comic series ‘Something Is Killing The Children’. Baran Bo Odar and Jantje Friese (creators of Dark and 1899) have been brought on to develop the project, which will be the first in a multiyear “first-look” deal with Boom! Studios.
Steven Christy and Ross Richie from Boom! Studios will be serving as Executive Producers, while S.I.K.T.C. co creators James Tynion IV and Werther Dell’Edera acting as Co-Executive Producers. Hopefully this will lead to an adaptation that remains true to the source material.
What Is ‘Something Is Killing The Children’?
Co-created by author James Tynion IV and artist Werther Dell’Edera, ‘Something Is Killing The Children’ (or S.I.K.T.C) is a comic book series in the horror genre. It was an unexpected MONSTER of a success, winning multiple Eisner Awards including 2022’s Best Continuing Series.
In addition to the awards, it has sold over 2 million copies worldwide. It’s been translated and distributed in over 20 countries. The series spin off ‘House Of Slaughter’ ended up selling over half a million copies of it’s debut issue, and was the 2nd highest selling non Marvel or DC comic book in the last 25 years.
