The Story:

The Mutant Liberation Front has a new leader with a mission to bring the group into the 21st Century. It’s up to X-Force to infiltrate the group and draw out their reclusive leader.

The Writing:

After the wrap up of the last issue, I was genuinely curious as to where the series would go next. Tim Seeley continues to surprise with this book as this issue dives into the next big threat to Ms. Marvel. One thing that really impresses me about Seeley’s story here is the way it leans into the current cultural landscape by pitting X-Force against a live stream based villain. There is a great merging of past foes with new ideologies and seeing a character like Cable having to deal with Gen Z and Gen Alpha is just an absolute treat. Also, the journaling narrative device is a wonderful way to get an update on what is happening with Domino during this issue. Stellar writing all around in this one, from the story to the script.

The Art:

The art team of Michael Sta. Maria and Romulo Fajardo Jr. bring this explosive team to life in spectacular fashion yet again. The big highlight of this issue is the action. Each page is a wonderful showcase of these characters and their abilities and this art team absolutely nails each of them. Another high point is a glimpse at the evil seemingly behind this story and how a certain character may be losing their grip on the situation. I don’t want to say more to avoid spoiling the issue, but trust me, it’s a wonderful bit of artwork.

Overall Grade: 9/10

Another great issue in a great series. I am so very happy to see this book continuing on and the mystery being slowly revealed. The character interactions are excellent, the action is superb, and the story is intriguing. Inglorious X-Force continues to be a must read X book!
