IDW’S A QUIET PLACE STORM WARNING’s Issue 2 and 3 preview!

The Quiet Place franchise has recently announced that it will be returning for yet another movie in the horror franchise’s catalog! If you are eagerly awaiting the film we think you’ll want to take a look at IDW Dark’s addition with A Quiet Place: Storm Warning! Issue 1 is out now but, we had a chance to take a look at issues 2 and 3 so here is a spoiler-free looks at what’s to come!

A Look at the Issues:

Phil Hester, Ryan Kelly, and Lee Loughridge are back following up an intense first issue with even more intense moments that will leave you holding your breath! Phil knows how to weave the past and present together in such a way that marries them together seamlessly. Every action taken has a purpose while advancing the lore of these mysterious creatures that have attacked Earth. Artistically we get a chance to see these creatures up close and personal in ways the films haven’t shown us before.

From the first page Phil, Ryan, and Lee do an excellent job of making the reader feel as though they are running for their lives as well. There are bits and pieces in the background that showcase what the aliens are capable of as well as moments of them catching their prey. Every panel is beautifully drawn and colored and there is such a stark realness to the setting our characters are in.

By ssue 3 things begin to make sense as the concurrent past and present paint a clearer picture and we get a glimpse of how the survivors have been able to do so up until this point in our story. It’s compelling and satisfies the hunger we have for more from this universe. I cannot recommend that you run to your LCS and let them know you want these in your boxes! FOC for issue 2 is Monday March 23rd and whilst picking up this weeks amazing comic haul you can just let them know they need to order these books as well!
