Catch up with C.O.R.T.: Children of the Round Table #5!

The Story

Last we left the team, Felicity was confronting the President of the United States, who is being persuaded by the dreaded Mordred. He also happens to be Felicity’s father, which is unexpected. With Felicity keeping the president distracted, it’s time for the other children to find Connor’s grandma and bring her to safety. After all their training, all their planning, it’s now time to put the plan into action. It’s time for them to prove they are the true Knights of the Round Table.

Tom Taylor brings the ending to this thrilling comic run that gives you everything you’d want. There’s action, there’s humor, there’s courageousness, and there’s a satisfying ending. Seeing the kids plan all come together, and each child getting their time to shine was fantastic. Taylor perfectly balanced the events that took place in the sixth issue, giving the story a very steady flow. I really hope we see more of the Children of the Round Table as Taylor has something really special here.

The Art

Creative Team – Daniele Di Nicuolo, Rain Beredo and Wes Abbott bring so much heat to the pages of C.O.R.T.: Children of the Round Table #6. Di Nicuolo adds so much depth with his wonderfully detailed panels while Beredo brings so much vibrancy to the pages with their use of contrasting and exciting colors. Wes Abbott keeps the energy very high with his expert lettering talents, making the dialogue match the excitement of the characters. All in all, these artists have showed up and showed out throughout this run and they ended on a beautiful note.

Final Thoughts

I cannot sing enough praises of C.O.R.T.: Children of the Round Table. This run should be in everyone’s pull list. There’s excitement all around, mixed with emotion and action. With a solid story throughout the series, there’s really nothing more you could ask for.
