As the X-MEN AGE of REVELATION continues across the Marvel Universe, we see Laura Kinney still figuring things out. As she mourns a past love, she’s desperate to save her son, and as many mutants as she can. However, last we saw her, the side she “chose” in this age of revelation isn’t going about things the way she thinks might be best.

The Story for Laura Kinney: SABRETOOTH #3
As Laura’s healing factor shakes off the mind control she starts to see things clearly. Something that doesn’t last long. She’s now on a mission to bring the mutants that escaped, back to earth. As she arrives, things aren’t going exactly as the refugees had intended. As a family fight ensues, everyone is suddenly taken by surprise.

The Art
What’s better than seeing one Wolverine? How about 4?! This was an action packed comic, and the art nailed the action scenes. We got full on berserker rage, coupled with a fight worthy of a shark week episode. The action was high, and so were the emotions. The art for the kicks, punches, and facial reactions, were all perfect.
Overall Grade: 9/10
Issue 3 was short and sweet. With less talk and more action, the story moved quickly, but the impact was felt in more ways than one. I’m continuing to love this version of Laura, and now that she’s a mother I love her even more. It could simply be that as a mom, I relate to her now, in a way I didn’t before. However, I feel it’s more the struggle to do what’s best for your child. It brings an extra element to her decision making that wasn’t there before. Especially when she’s not entirely in control of what she’s doing.
There’s no time like the present to jump into the world of X-Men Age of Revelation, and Laura Kinney: Sabretooth is the perfect book to do so.
