Dormammu has sent Godzilla back to Earth, landing him on Madripoor’s doorstep! It is now up to the X-Men to try and slow down the beast’s violent rampage as Black Panther continues to find a way to save our heroes.

The Story:
HOLY SMOKES!!! Gerry really knows how to make a cinematic battle have all of the epic moments. This issue holds absolutely nothing back, and there is one incredible moment after another in this.

Have you ever wanted to watch Wolverine be used as a drill by Magneto? Gambit launching massive cards at Godzilla? This is your issue. However, this is to set up what is yet to come and I don’t know if we are all ready.
The Art and Letters:
Again, this issue is just full of huge spots and moments. The team has Magneto using Godzilla as a drill and sends him through Godzilla’s heart, and that was simply the beginning of this issue. Madripor is a stunning city, and the team captures the bright detail of the lights and buildings as Godzilla rampages about. Gambit steals the show in this one as Javier hits the panels with various blends of purple, and the cards are stunningly detailed as well. This may be my favorite issue of the run from an art perspective so far!
OVERALL GRADE: 10/10
Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe #3 brings the intensity to a whole new level and gives our X-Men a chance at battle in ways we have never seen before. The team is in stride and continuing to elevate this run as something larger looms on the horizon.
