No Supergirl? No problem when you have the Super Pets!
Sophie Campbell (WRITER and COVER), Paulina Ganucheau and Rosie Kempe (ART), Kendall Goode and Marissa Louise (COLORS), and Becca Carey (LETTERS).
*SPOILERS AHEAD*
The Story:
Sophie brings us a bit of a refreshing and laid-back issue as it is focused on the pets and what if you were inside the mind of a dog, rabbit, gorilla, and cat for a day. It’s always exciting getting to see the pets of our heroes involved. The relationship between them all brings about a ton of laughs and hilarious moments. The story is still progressing forward make no mistake as this issue ends with Supergirl collapsing and leaving us on the edge of our seats.
The Art and Letters:
There is a new art team this issue, and the quad brings their A-game as there are a lot of beautiful moments in this issue.
They capture the exact mood of a cat, even though it may have powers, there is still an unbotheredness to the mood. I feel as though kids will love this issue. It is full of moments and spots that are detailed and soar high, bringing about excitement and an air of adventure.
Overall Grade: 9/10
Supergirl #5 brings about a change of pace and a fantastic new art team that injects even more excitement and adventure as we spend out day with the beloved super pets!
