THE STORY:
Just when you thought things couldn’t get more desperate Daniel takes this story a step further. He has weaved such a simple and yet intricate plot that has us questioning everybody’s motives and trusting nobody. Warren Johnson has set up a massive final battle full of suspense.
Riley working in tandem with Daniel on this story is showing that two heads are better than one indeed. As much as Daniel is crafting an insane story, Rossmo is just as much a creator as well and is knocking this out of the park.
The Artwork:
The trio of Daniel Warren Johnson, Riley Rossmo, and Mike Spicer have come together to create an epic issue. This issue really has it all whether you want a frog dual wielding weapons leaping into battle or a giant snake chomping characters in half. The amount of character variations gives so much for the eyes to marvel at and makes this issue fun.
The action is moving at such a fast pace and yet the action isn’t taking away from the emotional weight. Even in the midst of battle Duncan’s drawn with so much sadness and heaviness to him. This story is such an artistic beauty operating at a high level.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
The Moon is Following Us #4 brings this story to its climax. As the final battle looms we have so many questions and so much action that we are left wanting this story to never end. This may be the best arc. Image has released in 2024.
