The Art, Colors and Letters:
Amancay Nahuelpan and Sean Izaakse deliver stellar line work that brings out the intensity of the fight scenes and the emotions simmering between characters. The detailed art, especially the shadowing, reinforces the growing rift within Team Arrow. It’s as if the darkness around Oliver mirrors the moral questions hanging over him.
The paneling structure is particularly effective in pacing the issue. Large splash pages alternate with smaller, more intimate panels, forcing the reader to slow down and absorb the emotional weight of the scenes. These layouts enhance the suspense, allowing the tension to build naturally.
Romulo Fajardo Jr.’s colors add depth, especially in scenes transitioning from the outside into different environments. The shift from light to shadow plays a critical role in setting the mood, particularly in scenes with Oliver. Fajardo’s mastery of tones helps elevate the visual storytelling, making each panel feel dynamic.
