I am loving the Fall of the House of X event going on in Marvel Comics! Mutants turn against mutants, friends against friends, underrated mutants getting the attention they deserve. X-Men (Vol. 6) #34 has the perfect continuity for the overall story.
Jumping into X-Men #34
Starting off in the comic, we’re reminded just how dangerous the Orchis troops are when they attack humans. “For humanity” is their reasoning. How heroic of them! Moving past that, we see some really great superhero work from so many mutants including Ms. Marvel, Laura Kinney AKA Wolverine, Synch, even Emma Frost. Witnessing your favorite mutants uniting in a battle for a noble cause is truly thrilling.

Following a deeply moving revelation from ShadowKat, the mutants are crystal clear about the decisive action required to bring this conflict to a definitive conclusion. They know what they must do and who they must do it to.
What I Liked
The art in X-Men #34 is as solid as it gets. Something I love about the X-Men comics is that every mutant shines in their own right when it comes to how they’re drawn. The colors on their suits are always gorgeous and fits their personality perfectly. In this case, I think Shadowkat looks fantastic. The blue and black suit with the hood added to the emotional tone of the scene at the end of the comic book.

The writing in X-Men #34 was marvelous. You could really feel the emotion of each sentence whether it being Ms. Marvel trying to be her usual perky self even while saving someone from danger or Wolverine taking charge of a scary situation. It’s impressive to me that someone can write about so many characters and somehow make each character have a completely different personality. I truly am X-cited to see what happens next!
