The day in the life of a famous demon
Hey, it’s Megan! For this review, I’m checking out Blasfamous #2 by Mirka Andolfo. be sure to check out my other reviews by clicking here!
As I delved into Blasfamous, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Little did I anticipate it would evolve into a gripping tale melding the glitz of celebrity life with the shadows of demonic forces.
Witnessing Clelia’s steadfast commitment to being her authentic self amidst the pressures placed on her by her agent, Lev, added a compelling layer to the narrative. identity crisis she goes through is quite relatable, although I’m not sure many of us can relate to stealing souls while going through it. Maybe some are, who am I to judge?
The meat of the story for me
The second installment of Blasfamous is brimming with unexpected twists and turns that pleasantly caught me off guard. The story has a lot of substance to work with. I enjoyed looking behind the scenes of Lev and seeing that he, too, is having his strings pulled by a bigger player.
What captivated me the most was delving deeper into Clelia’s backstory. I was eager to uncover her origins and the catalyst for her journey. Discovering the truth behind her tumultuous relationship with Marianna was particularly intriguing, especially considering Clelia’s lingering haunted memories from the initial installment.
My take of the comic as a whole
The comic’s writing exudes a modern and trendy vibe, perfectly in sync with our main character’s celebrity status in contemporary society. The artwork impresses with its meticulous detail in every panel, complemented by colors that flawlessly enhance each scene.
I Give This A 7
