Catch up with He-Man and The Masters of the Universe: Wings of Fate #2!

The Story

The story continues with a bang! This time, the mysterious and injured falcon can’t keep her eyes open and falls into a deep sleep, where she encounters probably the last person you want to dream about, Evil-Lyn. Evil-Lyn is very on brand with her evil schemes and lives to be everyone’s problem. Luckily, the falcon is in her own human body and even has back up to fight off Evil-Lyn. This was such an exciting issue that really changes the dynamics of the characters. What I really loved was that Orko really got to prove himself to the falcon and to himself. there’s a newfound confidence in Orko and I’m excited to see where he takes it. Oh! And we learned who the mystery falcon actually is! I had my suspicions but I’m glad to see I was correct!

Tim Sheridan gives us an action-packed continuation and raises the stakes higher than ever with the energy to match. I cannot say enough good things about this run so far! With each issue, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Wings of Fate gets better and better. If you haven’t checked out this run yet, there’s no time like the present! Make sure this is on your pull lists and preorder the next issue!

The Art

Will Sliney continues to impress with this run! The linework is nothing short of stunning, bringing beautifully detailed characters and settings on every page. I have to say, I think this issue is Sliney’s best work yet! The characters were gorgeous, their location was stunning, and the action was absolutely fantastic.

Working perfectly off of Sliney’s drawings was Israel Silva, who handled the colors. Silva brings so much vibrancy, making each page a masterpiece of different colors that contrast each other in the best way. Every page is hard to take your eyes off of!

Wrapping this issue in a perfect bow is AndWorld Design, who handles the lettering. There were plenty of different tones at play in this issue and all of them were illustrated beautifully in the dialogue. I really appreciated how the letterer was able to capture the emotions of the characters like the falcon’s confusion or Evil-Lyn’s menacing tone. Together, the artists made this a very memorable issue!

Final Thoughts

If you haven’t checked this run out, what’re you waiting for?! This is everything you love about the Masters of the Universe with a brand new story and a huge focus on characters that you want to see more of! Tim Sheridan and the artists really are knocking this out of the park!
