Writing

The end has come. Deniz Camp managed to pull a bunch of threads together and craft a satisfying ending to the story. The world changed and the world looks different now for those in the Ultimate universe. Camp did a great job pulling together the various characters we’ve seen throughout the story. We even managed to get a little bit of fourth wall breaking in there.

I really would’ve loved to have seen more from the ultimate universe but if this is all we get, Camp gave us a good story that ties together a variety of stories from a variety of perspectives. Anytime an event of this scale happens it takes a steady hand to step in and tie together such distinct yet unique writing styles as the various writers who participated in the ultimate universe. Camp handles that well making each character of the ultimate universe feel valued and true to the way their writers created them.

Art

The old saying goes that it takes a village. That is abundantly evident for ultimate endgame with a variety of creatives taking on the artwork, inking, and coloring. I really enjoyed that you were able to see the distinct art styles from each of the creators throughout this entire issue. They all show up in unique ways with their own unique skills and traits.

Final Thoughts

I’m sad to see the ultimate universe come to an end. As sad as I am, I’m excited to see how the ripples of the ultimate universe may affect the regular Marvel universe going forward.
