The Story
We come to the end of the thrilling story of Justice League Red! After the team learns from Black Adam that Red Tornado has been orchestrating events so the members will have no choice but to join his villainous plans, they rush back to confront him. Upon returning, they find out that Red Tornado isn’t the ultimate threat, it’s the Crimson Crusade.
Red Tornado is nowhere to be found, and the Crimson Crusade has taken over. Defeating Red Tornado is one thing, but this new villain is an entirely new game play. With their powers doing nothing but strengthening the monstrous entity, the team has no plan in place. To make matters worth, the Crimson Crusade is able to manipulate their minds to seeing their most vulnerable memories and feelings and use it against them. The stakes are higher than ever, the team is lost for a plan of action, and it seems that the Crimson Crusade is always a step ahead.

The Writing
Saladin Ahmed has made this miniseries an exciting ride you don’t want to get off from beginning to end. This being the ending issue, I’d say Ahmed brought it to an astounding close. In Justice League Red #6, it’s nonstop action with the team fighting their toughest battle yet. You watch as even Cyborg can’t figure a way around the Crimson Crusade, feeling the confusion and almost hopelessness of the team. You also feel their vulnerability when the Crimson Crusade goes into their minds to wreck them from the inside out. But, you also feel the power of the team. You can feel the accomplishment of them working together and the excitement of when the final plan comes together. Ahmed pulls you into the story and doesn’t let you go until the very end.
The Art
The artwork of Justice League Red has be consistently high quality throughout the series, but the last issue really packs a punch. Clayton Henry Arif Prianto create visuals that make the final fight seem larger than life that are wrapped in so many details and vibrancy. Lucas Gattoni, the letterer, makes you feel every emotion of the characters in the dialogue whether its Cyborg’s confusion, Green Lanterns anguish or Red Canary’s bewilderment. Justice League Red #6 wraps up the series in a beautiful bow thanks to the artists.
Final Thoughts
Justice League Red is an exciting read from beginning to end with a spectacular ending! This should be on everyone’s pull list!
Overall Grade – 10/10
