I love a good anthology to get me in the spirit of the Holidays, and this latest from DC packs a powerful punch that is sure to do this for us all. Each of these stories is full of life lessons of love, loss, and finding balance in our lives, and truly delivers on the spirit of the season. It’s fun seeing heroes and even villains struggle with things that everyday humans do, but that is what makes this issue so great. Every writer and letterer brings something to the table here, with each story representing something powerful and being given a proper voice.
The Art and Letters:
‘Tis the season indeed! We are gifted with such a wide array and variety of artwork that has a different feeling and vibe to it. As we weave through these stories, the art matches each of them in detail and heart, making them connect flawlessly together as we cross each one. There isn’t just one style that is used throughout, and I enjoy that everyone brought power to this issue through excellent panels and pages, giving us the spirit of Christmas and even Hanukkah!
