Creative Team: Kelly Thompson (WRITER), Matias Bergara (ARTIST), Jordie Bellaire (COLORS and COVER), Becca Carey (LETTERS), and Hayden Sherman (COVER ART).

Kelly continues to craft such an incredible story with Diana and this world that is continuously being built and added to around her. This issue feels much like a rebirth of Diana of sorts as we see her pushed to the brink of her values and character. What stands out to me in this issue is how Diana has never given up, and yet she must now succumb and accept her death of sorts. There is a lot of depth to this issue, all the while it cleverly weaves the rest of the Absolute Universe into the fold at the same time. Kelly is responsible for setting the stage for our first big crossover event, and she nails it!

The artwork in this issue is the most intricate and incredible yet. There are various settings and rugged details that have to be drawn, and Matias is up to the task. The amount of line work and subtle details, as Diana is taken to the heart of the earth or the panels are cut into shards of glass, weaving in the other Absolute stories, no matter what it was, I was in awe of how incredibly well done the art was. Despite Diana being at her lowest point, Matias is still able to capture her beauty all at the same time. Jordie matches the energy, as there is a wide array of bright and eye-catching colors being used. Her work brings each setting to life and visually leaps off each panel. Becca has a tall task herself in this issue, as there are times when the letters and words are spoken backwards, which could not have been easy!

Absolute Wonder Woman #14 is a giant leap forward for the character of Diana, who must accept death and accept that there is more to this world than needs her. This issue sets up our first major crossover event, and it will leave you hyped beyond belief.
