The Story
Mouse Man has pulled many tricks and schemes to get what he wants, but this may be the worst one yet; he has Diana’s baby. Not only that, but he also killed the Amazon responsible for watching the baby. With her baby in his possession, he wastes no time using the baby against her.

He tells Diana that he not only has her baby, he killed the woman protecting the baby, but he also has the young girl who was protected by Diana. He finishes this unhinged monologue with telling Diana to get on her knees, which earns him a palm strike to the jaw. If there’s one thing guaranteed, it’s that Diana will not let him get away with this.
Tom King continues the battle between Mouse Man, Diana, and everyone in between them. While Diana has her face off with Mouse Man, his supporters are doing everything they can to hammer down that Mouse Man knows all into the young, pink-haired girl.
It seems that all the tension that’s been building is coming to head, and Diana is ready for a change. We leave on a more ominous note, which makes me very excited to see where we go from here after all that’s happened in Wonder Woman #27.
The Art
The artwork within Wonder Woman #27 matches the tone of the story very well, all thanks to Daniel Sampere, Tomeu Morey, and Clayton Cowles. Daniel Sampere provides excellent detailing work that gives you a clear vision at exactly how Mouse Man feels the wrath of Diana.
Alongside his art is the coloring work of Tomeu Morey, who does a fantastic job having a vibrant focal point that pops off the page, whether it be the young girls pink hair or Diana’s Lasso of Truth. Clayton Cowles lends his talents with the lettering, providing emotion to the words, which is felt heavily while reading. Together, the artists bring artwork that elevates the stories to new levels.
Final Thoughts
Wonder Woman #27 has plenty of action, excellent continuity, and has me very interested to see what’s next for Diana after all that’s taken place.
Overall Grade – 7.5/10
