The Story
T’Challa, the King of Wakanda, is dead and now his son, Ketema, rules as the king and the Black Panther. Ketema is nothing short of a violent king who will stop at nothing to get what he wants, even if it involves hurting and torturing the people of Wakanda. The people of Wakanda do not love him the way they loved T’Challa, but they fear him, and Ketema knows it. But does Ketema care? He says he doesn’t but Shuri disagrees. What Ketema is after are the secrets of his father, and he knows who’s hiding them.

When Ketema finally finds the secrets, his plans are revealed, and they’re enough to turn the whole world upside down.
The writers continue this thrilling journey that feels like it gets wilder with every issue. With every turn, you have no idea what to expect, which keeps you on your toes. In this issue, there’s so much going on and so many loose threads, and it’s all balanced beautifully by Joe Quesada and Christopher Priest.
The Art
What I’ve appreciated so much about this run is the amount of detail that’s on every page. In the characters, in the backgrounds, in the scenes, all beautifully drawn by Joe Quesada. Alongside Quesada is Richard Isanove who handles the colors. Isanove brings so much depth with his use of darker colors juxtaposing the bright white colors.
Richard Starkings and Comicraft’s Tyler Smith are behind the lettering, and give the dialogue the power it deserves in such an emotion-heavy comic. Together, the artists bring the thrilling story to life in a beautiful way.
Final Thoughts
Marvel Knights: The World To Come #4 is proof that this comic run gets better and better with every issue. The creative team is all gas, no breaks with this run.
