Catch up with the X-Men: Age of Revelation event!

The Story

With everyone in the X-Men world being affected by the Age of Revelation, it only makes sense that Mojo feel the aftermath of the dystopian world courtesy of Doug Ramsey. In this new world, there are no more television networks and Mojo’s network has only survived they’ve been playing reruns.

Now, the “power plant” has taken control of all industries throughout the world, resulting in all of Mojo’s shows being canceled. In order to save his network, he has to do something big, something outside of the rules. He has to make a new show.

In Longshots #1, Gerry Duggan and Jonathan Hickman do a fantastic job showing exactly how big of an impact the Age of Revelation has been on every single bit of the X-Men world, even taking Mojo down with it.

Mojo, who will stop at nothing to revive his network, forms a new team to be the stars his breakthrough show. The stakes are high and the viewers will be even higher with the Longshots!

The Art

With Mojo, you always have to have a great sense of detail when it comes to his stories, and Alan Robinson is just the person to prove they have that ability. There’s an excellent amount of detail on each page, all the way down to Mojo’s creepy wide smile. Alongside that aspect, we also get a great amount of characters outside of Mojo that all looked flawless. The new team, Longshots, are a team full of heavy hitters in the Marvel Universe, and Robinson did a phenomenal job showcasing each character, giving them their own limelight. With colors by Yen Nitro, and letters by Ariana Maher, you really can’t go wrong with this creative team alongside Alan Robinson.

Final Thoughts

This was a great addition to the exciting event of X-Men: Age of Revelation, and I’m very interested to see where it goes. With a team built like the Longshots, there’s no telling what chaos awaits us.
