WHO CAN WIN DC KO’S PRIZE AND DEFEAT THE EVIL ODDS?

Being Absolute just isn’t enough for Darksied. The former Lord of Apokolips found a way to create his own universe in 2024. This twisted landscape is known as “The Absolute Universe”. Some would think this might be enough to rule over. They obviously don’t know the levels of power Darkseid wants to control.

HE WANTS IT ALL!

One year later, Darkseid is making his way back to the DCU. After events played out in “Justice League Unlimited” and “Superman”, his time is coming fast. The heroes have one chance to defeat him. A champion must be crowned. The stakes of this challenge has never been higher.

DC K.O. #1 (hitting stores on Wednesday, Oct. 8th) kicks off a melee to end all comic fights. It’s THE talk of comics this week. Our NI Comics Bullpen has some thoughts on who’s walking away as champion. Let;s see who they say?

YANCY: Big Barda because she big, she’s strong and she just want to get this over with so she can go back to her quiet life in tye suburbs of Bailey, New Hampshire. My heart ached when I realized Wonder Woman, Batwoman, Zatanna & Big Barda were all on the same bracket. DC definitely hates me

MATT: Zatanna. No further questions

MEGAN: ZATANNA. She can do no wrong in my eyes!

DEREK: Zatanna. 100%

KAT: Supergirl, she’s more powerful than Superman and she can kick butt and takes names

JOEY: Captain Atom. He’s powerful and can go toe to toe with anyone, as long as it’s not changed to Hawk at the last minute

TOM: Batman….. because what’s his superpower….. prep time!! Also F*** Guy Gardner

WAIT, WHO DID THEY SAY?! HE DOESN’T EVEN GO HERE!

MICHAEL: At the end of the day, you never bet against DARKHAWK!

RICH: DARKHAWK is the Logan Paul of the MCU. He’s got all the tools to be the franchise player. Why not go from the MCU to the DCU? This IS the year of crossovers with Deadpool/Batman. Why not “The Hawk”?

As for my pick….we have got to look at the field. SUPERMAN’S bracket has some heavy hitters. Let’s not forget in the Super Powers cartoon in the 80’s, FIRESTORM basically unalived Supes. Add in Captain Atom and it’s not that easy of a road.

The same can be said for Wonder Woman’s bracket. Being put in the same one as Lobo and Swamp Thing is not going to be easy to win. Batman’s only real threat (IMO) is Barda and Zatanna . The rest are either Bat-allies or Bat Family (save Star Sapphire). That leaves one bracket and a clear cut answer.

Who can go as low as Darkseid to get what they want? What levels wont they go to for success and prove they are “humanity’s savior”? Looking at Aquaman’s bracket and the answer is clear as day. After reading Superman #30…..

LEX LUTHOR IS BACK ON HIS B.S. AND THIS IS HIS TO WIN!

Lex has an easy walk to the finals no matter who’s the matchup. In the finals, different story. Luthor vs. Superman is always a big money match. Considering what’s happened in the Williamson run, there’s some axes to grind. This could be the extra motivation needed to secure victory. The finals vs. the Wonder Woman bracket winner is my pick and that should be incredible to watch.
