Last Seen on The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon
Solaz Del Mar, the place that “welcomed” Daryl and Carol, was attacked by primitives. The attack seemed as if it was solely for chaos. While licking their wounds and taking a breathe to assess the damage, Roberto took that opportunity to find Justina. She was believed to have sacrificed herself to the El Alcazar. With a stolen jeep Roberto finds her. Daryl, Carol, and Roberto’s father, Antonio, follow behind expecting the worst. They find Justina’s compass necklace, and the jeep upside down.

“Limbo”
The mission to find Roberto picks right up where we left off, and we learn things were not as they were told. This sets Daryl off on a mission. However, the mission he sets off on isn’t the one we see him take up in this episode. After meeting some creepy people with an obsession for eyeballs, he meets another group. One glimpse of an innocent child in this other group, and Daryl suddenly has a side quest.

Daryl has always been a TWD favorite
Daryl Dixon was not in The Walking Dead comics, yet he quickly became a show favorite. No one ever questioned his popularity as it always seemed obvious. He’s quiet, he cares when it matters, and he’s badass. He’s also got a soft spot for kids. As we continue to get flashbacks to his childhood it becomes more obvious why. He never got a proper childhood, and there aren’t many children living in a zombie apocalypse that are getting one either.
Overall Grade: 7.5/10
While this episode seemed stand alone, compared to others this season, it was a perfect reflection of why and how so many Walking Dead fans claim Daryl Dixon as their favorite walker killer. It’s been awhile since we got a Daryl focused episode, and Limbo made up for that. Being able to read people seems very beneficial to surviving the end of the world. That’s one gift Daryl seems to have been blessed with. Or cursed.
In a world surrounded by walking corpses and the worst of humankind, look for the Daryls. I believe Mr. Rogers said that.
