The Story:

Zack instantly picks up where he left off with pt 1 as Frey’s actions prove to have dire consequences immediately. I love how he thrusts us back into this world, both catching us up while introducing new faces in a very sinister way. The way Zack kicks off this next part does make us wonder just who the bad guy was in the first part.

The more we begin to learn and discover it causes us to pause. It questions if Frey was justified or perhaps her father was protecting them all in his own way. To me, this is excellent storytelling as we thought we knew what the truth was but, everything is now flipped upside down and just getting started.

The Art and Letters:

The duo of Thiago and Fico is back, and they ensured we knew it as the pages are full to the brim with bloody, fast-paced action. Without skipping a beat, they take us panel by panel in fights for life and death, making it seem so effortless. The way they detail the weapons to be both heavy and move with such finesse is a feat all on its own. Hassan is back lettering, and the gang truly is back together as though no time has passed whatsoever.

When it comes to meeting our antagonist of this run, the art team gives us so much while keeping him in the shadows. The large and looking presence that is colored mostly black allowed our imaginations to fill in the gaps of who this monster can be. It all adds layers and depth to this story to which really kicks some ass.

Overall Grade: 10/10

Kill All Immortals is back without missing a beat as the Asvalds, who were once the hunters, have now become the hunted. Zack sets up this story by making you question everything we’ve known to this point while cranking the stakes to 11. The team of Fico, Thiago, and Hassan fills the panels with elegant and gruesome battles. Get back into the world of Kill All Immortals. What are you even waiting for?
