Wally and Grodd have nowhere to go and have no money for food, to top it all off. Meanwhile, Eleanor Thawne has Wally’s father on the brink of death. With the Rogues out to find Wally and Grodd, they may have no choice but to team up if they wish to survive the storm.

Creative Team:
Jeff Lemire (WRITER), Travis Moor (ART), Adriano Lucas (COLORS), Tom Napolitano (LETTERS), and Nick Robles (COVER).
*SPOILERS AHEAD*
The Story:
As we conclude the short 3 mini story arc that Jeff has been crafting we start to see sides take place and things are getting interesting.
We get a nibble of what Thawne is up to that leaves us with a lot of questions that will be serving the story soon with mentions of a god. We also formally have our Rogue’s teaming up and Wally now has a choice to make. I am loving the direction we are headed in!
The Art and Letters:
The artwork takes a sidestep into darker elements in this issue. Weather Wizard gets his big intro, and it is very much stunning. The massive storm is full of detail as the rain and wind whip around, making the colors of Wally’s suit and Grodd standout brightly. I am enjoying how much the colors all mesh and weave together creating visually pleasing panels and adding so much to this story as well. Wally’s suit has grown on me as Adriano and Travis have given a two piece biker suit and this issue really made it pop out.
Final Thoughts:
Absolute Flash #7 sets up something big on the horizon and lines being drawn in the sand. Wally has finally stepped into his powers and is becoming comfortable with his abilities, setting up something huge with Thawne and the Rogues.
Overall Grade: 9.5/10
