The Story:
Kelly continues to bring an enormous amount of emotional depth to Diana, and just when we think we have discovered all there is about her, Kelly surprises us by showing more up her sleeves. I appreciate that she is willing to go further and take more risks in showcasing emotions and weaving these elements into this story. It continues to keep it fresh and exciting as we are 11 issues in and yet I feel that this story just keeps elevating.
The Art:
Hayden and Jordie have turned what is a haunting and sobering maze into a spectacle of wonders and awe. There is so much to see and details in the background as the colors pop out and catch our eyes at every panel. The details and way they created various species, all coming together as they attempted to flee, was my favorite part of this book. This cover gives us a glimpse into the book, and I want to shout out how the duo brings forth the red and how her eyes glare at us from the darkness.
Final Thoughts:
Absolute Wonder Woman continues to defy expectations and bring surprises in every book released. There is so much depth and colorful wonder that this is a no-brainer must-have every single month.
Overall Grade: 10/10
