The Story & Writing

After all of the challenges and trials given to Wanda and Vision by the Grim Reaper, it’s time for them to finally come face to face once again. Inside Graverealm, the two heroes have fought their way through the darkest of “games” that the Grim Reaper has thrown their way, even having to live a day in their perfect life, making them see what they’re missing out on.

No matter how cruel these tribulations have been, Wanda and Vision have made their way to the finish line every time. However, now they are finally going to battle the Grim Reaper, the battle they have been waiting for. But what happens when it’s not just him they have to fight? Who is the benefactor of the Grim Reaper who gave him his powers?

Steve Orlando continues to bring a comic surrounding the ex spouses which is drenched in depth and lore. What I really appreciate it how far Orlando goes to show that Wanda isn’t the only magically powerful being there, giving Vision his own time to shine. I think Vision had some of his best moments in The Vision & The Scarlet Witch #4, surprising even Wanda with his new abilities.

The Art

Jacopo Camagni, the artist of The Vision & The Scarlet Witch #4, creates looks in the comic that’s nothing short of an abstract treasure trove of darkness. The Grim Reaper was showcased as just how wicked and vile he truly is, all thanks to Camagni. While the Grim Reaper is a ghastly character, Camangi gave him some panels that were really well illustrated with an otherworldly feel. Along with Camagni is Ruth Redmond, the colorist of the comic. Redmond matched Camagni’s drawings with her talents extremely well, making each page pop with contrasting colors that set the tone.

Final Thoughts

The Vision & The Scarlet Witch continues to thrive with its fourth issue. The creative team deliver even more magical goodness in the form of a comic, showcasing just how powerful the characters really are.

Overall Grade – 8.2/10
