*SPOILERS AHEAD*
The Story:
We are 10 issues in and Kelly continues to take the level of depth and story telling up another level. Diana was forged to be a weapon and yet it is explained that she is hiding in plain site as men will not look at her as a young child as we get important flashbacks. The flashbacks are important towards the current story which a fun tie in that Kelly weaves into each issue. There are lines such as Diana saying she is not afraid of Gods that are lettered incredibly well by Becca that hammer home the effect of how stoic and brave she is.
The Art:
Hayden and Jordie do a ton of fun and trippy things with the artwork in this issue. We kick it off with a determined Diana as Hayden details her, and Jordie is coloring an epic battle as Ferdinand sacrifices himself to get Petra and Diana out. Once Diana returns to the maze is when the art goes insane as we get a taste of it on the cover. There is a blend of bright pinks, deep purples, oranges, and others as Diana is under a spell of sorts and particularly one page is full of Hayden drawing a variety of creatures that Jordie adds a bright teal to. Visually the back half of this issue is so visually stunning and exciting.
Final Thoughts:
There is no slowing down in this story as Kelly is bringing heat that is matched with a level of artwork that Hayden and Jordie bring, culminating in a heart-pounding and stunning entrance in this story.
Overall Grade: 10/10
