The Story:
Truly I don’t know that I ever want these Predator versus stories to end as Ben does such an excellent job paying homage to every character and working in expanding lore and story threads. If you had told child me that I would watch Kraven be adopted into the brood of Predator’s I may never have believed you. Honestly that single plot thread excitement me more than anything else at the same time. Ben gives everyone time to shine in this story as the bloody battle with Kraven and the Predator’s fills our pages while, Peter true to his core shows he would die for the city. I need more now.
The Art:
The way Marcelo, Jay, and Frank make Spider-Man move so effortlessly through panels and pages is a testament to what the trio brings to this final issue. They have him move flawlessly and smoothly, and then when it comes time for Kraven to battle, they’re able to turn and bring a heaviness to the artwork. The colors of blood red and oozing green set the tone for the battle, and they don’t shy away from the brutality of it all. Visually there’s so much to love and the final scene of Peter and MJ is right there at the top!
Final Thoughts:
Predator Versus Spider-Man #4 ends this iteration with a huge bloody bang! It doesn’t quite feel like the finale for this set and gives you a future to look forward to as we move through the Predator versus series at Marvel.
