The Story and Writing

If you look at where Gwen first started when entering this new universe of Earth 616, to where she is now, her story is nothing short of an electrifying thrill ride. Having to go to a new Earth, realizing her new powers, and fighting amongst gods is no small feat for a Spider-Hero like Gwen. All of this goes back to King Loki, who is to blame for Gwen’s new powers and her having to relocate to Earth 616.

As Gwen puts it, we’re now at the climax of the story and she needs a resolution. Gwen needs a plan on how to take down King Loki, how to survive this planet she’s on, and how to end this madness of a story. Fortunately, she isn’t alone as OB says he has contacted the TVA for back up. When that backup finally arrives with a dramatic entrance, it’s Gwen’s job to take on her main antagonist, King Loki.

The entirety of Spider-Gwen: The Ghost-Spider has been so much fun to read. With every issue that’s come out, you’re guaranteed to fall into a new addition of the story that’s filled with action, emotion, and clever quips from one of your favorite Spider-People. Stephanie Phillips goes above and beyond to bring Gwen’s story to new heights and absolutely accomplishes that goal.

In this comic in particular, Spider-Gwen: The Ghost-Spider #15 delivers a perfect ending to this run that’s full of satisfaction. Accompanying the fantastic ending to this run, we’re even treated to a sneak peak of what’s to come with the all new Spider-Gwen: The Ghost-Spider #1 that’s coming in August. The Art

The artist of Spider-Gwen: The Ghost-Spider #15, Von Randal, makes sure he ends this run on a very high note. With a huge amount of detail incorporated into the panels, Randal makes each page seem momentous. Accompanying Randal is Matt Milla, the colorist for the book. Matt Milla has consistently given quality to each issue that’s come out, and made every page just as exciting to look at as the story is to read.

In this issue of Spider-Gwen: The Ghost-Spider, there’s an epilogue that’s handled beautifully by Paolo Villanelli, who has done a lot of work on this run. It was great to see both Von Randal and Paolo Villanelli involved with this final issue, as both have provided so much artistic talent to the comic run.

Final Thoughts

I loved how Stephanie Phillips ended this run! I’ve enjoyed myself so much throughout Spider-Gwen: The Ghost-Spider, and would be really bummed that it’s ending if it wasn’t announced that the story will continue with Phillips and Paolo Villanelli! Can’t wait for more!
