The Story:

Starting with our dear dumb idiot Vigilante, I did not think things could get anymore unhinged than they already had. Tim, however, said hold my sword as he pulls out some disgusting and hilarious stops in this one. Our two tied up villains have themselves a thanksgiving feast and a used condom smelling of cool ranch Doritios was not what I ever expected to read but this is Peacemaker and I am in for it. Vigilante despite his flaws is written extremely well and hilarious by Tim.

Going into Eagly and Peacemaker’s adventures, Chris is still up to his antics, but Rex finally tags in the passengers who partake in some brutality of their own! I will say he also hits us with a bit of a surprise ending that I did not see coming in the slightest.

Let’s Talk Art:

Pat’s lettering adds to the hilarity and consistency between these two stories, which each have their own flair. Mitch brings his grit once more, and I cannot help but imagine him giggling to himself as he was working on some of these sequences. There is an insanely cool scaling shot when Vigilante throws a toilet that pops out of the panel as though it is in a 3D movie that was incredibly well drawn.

Matteo and John have some fun as well, and a fantastic kill of the week when Chris pulls in an assassin for a hug, impaling him with a sword. I appreciate how the art team is not one to shy away from these moments and keep seeming to one up themselves with each issue.

Final Thoughts:

Peacemaker/Eagly Double Feature #4 is full of bloody action and will have you in shock at a few surprise scenes. Setting up for the big finale, I can only imagine what the team has in store.

Overall Grade: 10/10
