In this thrilling comic debut, this first issue sets the bar high. This follows the main character, Axel Black. He is a tech billionaire, and the head of the sinister order of Nine. He becomes in trouble with a situation, and he sends out his operatives to go and find an ancient relic that he needs. Of course, when hunting that down, it turns into disaster over and over again.

I like how the comic sets the stakes high in the beginning of this issue. It becomes apparent that the writer of this series wants the readers to jump right into it.  It also introduced McCormick and Miller, two detectives that get sucked into this pursuit of the ancient relic. When the relic starts to do unusual things, the detectives have to figure it out quickly.

I really like the storytelling in this issue as well. The way that everything connects is a really important factor. It also ends on a cliffhanger, which I am really interested to see what happens in the next issue.

In terms of the art, it is very realistic, giving the reader the experience to actually sit in the crucial moments.  I like how graphic the art is too, it gives another layer of uniqueness to the overall look of the series.

Overall Grade: 10/10
