In Case You Missed It: Cable: Love and Chrome #3 Time for the Afterlife

As Cable runs the scenarios over and over again, the risk of a paradox increases. It take’s a strong will to continue to hammer at a wall that just won’t fall, but that’s Nathan Summers for you. When it becomes obvious to him that no amount of time manipulation can stop Avery from a destiny of misery, he makes a crucial realization about the way the virus works. What happens next, you’ll just have to read for yourselves!

Writing Cable: Love & Chrome
BOOM BABY! David Pepose has been crushing this title! Cable is one of the more complicated characters in the Marvel Universe. To watch Pepose take him and put him in this no win scenario that forces him to break every rule he knows is a thrill ride. As I’ve said before, Cable is a really deep character and David is exploring every single nook and cranny. The action is fantastic, the pacing is precise, and the twists and turns are jaw dropping!
The Timeless Art of Cable: Love & Chrome
Look, I’ve reviewed the last 3 issues of this book so there’s not a lot more I can say about the phenomenal work of this art team. The action and suspense of the story is beautifully displayed on the page. Cable’s timeslides are awesome and the panel layouts make for a lovely reading experience. Big action sequences, heavy somber moments, and horrific techno-organic madness are all executed for a fun visually adventure with huge stakes.

Overall Grade: 10/10
This is an action movie thrill ride that I never want to stop! I haven’t seen Cable so desperate and make so many mistakes that come with big consequences. He’s running throughout time to save the woman he loves. He blasts through everything in his path. The stakes are so high and his disregard for the rules of time travel make for some HOLY $H*T moments! I’m both both excited and sad to see this one coming to an end soon.
