Two-Face #5: Harvey has been forced to lock himself away so the “bad” side doesn’t cause further chaos or destruction. When a dangerous and familiar foe arrives threatening everything he has worked hard to do, Harvey must turn to a familiar face for help.

*SPOILERS AHEAD*
The Story:
Christian continues to play into the dual side of Harvey and the inward battle that he consistently faces between the two sides of himself. How can a person be good if all they do is bad is a perfect sumarization of Harvey as a character and how he battles so hard to do the right thing. Christian does a fantastic job capturing this spirit and portion of the character sucking me into the story.
There were a few moments that had caught me off guard as well with who Die is and then a reveal at the end that I was not sure we’d see. The surprise appearance however, still makes sense as the two are connected and bonded closely beyond villain and hero.
The Artwork:
Fabio crafts his background extremely well against the action of what is happening in the scene. The placement of the characters and the burning White Church around them is captivating but adds rather than distracts from the chaos. Ivan is adding colors and depth, and rather than the weird, unique purples that we have seen, the art shows us that the “bad Harvey” is not in this issue, and that is a small and subtle detail to further the story being told.
Overall Grade: 9.3/10
Two-Face #5 sets up the finale of Harvey’s plan against himself. He turns towards unlikely allies and there are a few surprises within this story that caught me off guard. This run has been quietly excellent and the trade will be one I get!
