CATCH UP WITH MOON KNIGHT: FIST OF KHONSHU #4 HERE!
“Still reeling from the brutal events of the past two issues, Marc Spector and what’s left of his Midnight Mission have no choice but to retreat and regroup. As the dragnet closes around him, Marc and his allies are more vulnerable than ever before! Cornered, angry and wrathful, MOON KNIGHT is in for the fight of his life… but he’s going down swinging!” (Credit: Marvel)

The Story
In the past issue, Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu #4, Marc told Fairchild that he wanted to handle this personally, and fight. Now the time has come for Marc to fight the battle he was meant to fight, and make good on his promise of killing Fairchild. With all the anger he has built up inside against Fairchild, for killing the Midnight Mission, for the Glitter ring, and so many more things, Marc is prepared to end it all with Fairchild.
Meanwhile, Moon Knight’s allies, Hunter Moon, Tigra, Reese, Soldier, and 8-Ball have been trying their best to do what they’re supposed to do and protect the night’s travelers, but many have branded them as criminals. Hunter Moon and Soldier go to help a sick child, but are immediately kicked out of the house by the father of the child.
While that’s happening, Tigra and Reese are trying to keep the streets safe along with 8-Ball, yet Tigra is at her breaking point. She’s sick of keeping the streets safe and protecting the night’s travelers, but Reese has a different mindset. Reese says they will continue to do their job and show the people that neither the cops or Fairchild will stop them.
The Battle Continues
Back to Marc and the great battle between him and Fairchild. Marc is hammering into Fairchild, while Jake and Steven are in his head following the fight. It seems that Marc is close to ending it, but something isn’t right. Fairchild stands up as if Marc hasn’t been beating on him for the entire round. Marc realizes Fairchild has no marks on his body, despite being a fighter all his life. How can this be?
Jed MacKay continues to impress in this exciting comic run, but I think Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu #5 really shows just how much damage Fairchild has done to Marc and his allies. While he seems like he’s just another street kingpin who’s only out for his own benefit, we get to see just how serious a villain he really is. I can’t wait to see what happens between Fairchild and Moon Knight as the odds have really been stacked against Marc after this installment.
The Art
Devmalya Pramanik and Rachelle Rosenberg really came together and knocked it out of the park in Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu #5. While Pramanik gave so much attention to detail in each panel, it was complemented beautifully by the colors provided by Rosenberg. Some of the most stunning parts of this comic were the fight scenes between Marc and Fairchild, as Rosenberg had the shocking white of their clothes juxtaposing the gorgeous abstract backgrounds full of color. Corey Petit handled the lettering and handled it expertly, especially when there’s a big shift towards the end.
All in all, the artists of Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu #5 deserves all their flowers for the amazing job they’ve done.
