CATCH UP WITH DEADPOOL #10 HERE!
“DEADPOOL & DAUGHTER embark on their first major job: TO TAKE OUT SPIDER-MAN! It’s a dirty job, but someone’s got to do it. Or, at least they do if they want to get paid. And the events of recent issues have put them in quite a pickle!

Time for their first big job
With their mercenary business leaving them completely broke, Ellie and Deadpool have to get back out there and start taking on jobs. Their first job, Deadpool and Taskmaster knew it wouldn’t be pretty. They knew it would be a dark one that they wouldn’t normally want to take, especially with Ellie on the team. But what choice do they have? They need weapons to take out Death Grip, and those weapons cost money, which they have none of. So they take this new job, and of course, it’s a job no one wants; to kill Spider-Man. Everyone’s favorite web-slinger is now on a hit list that Deadpool and Ellie have to take care of.
Standing on a rooftop, gun in hand and eye on the prize, Deadpool is prepared to take out Spider-Man, when Ellie stops him. She says this isn’t right, and although he doesn’t agree out loud, he knows she’s right. Just as Deadpool is about to attempt to put Ellie’s mind at ease, their approached by Agent Gao and two of her henchman.
Turns out, it was Agent Gao, and her new benefactor, that hired the father and daughter duo, and she has a new offer for them. Agent Gao’s new benefactor has an in for all kinds of weapons of destruction, and if Deadpool completes this task, they’ll sweeten the deal. Seems like a pretty good deal, if I do say so myself. However, that still requires killing Spider-Man, and surely it can’t go down that easily right? Turns out, it will absolutely not be easy.
The Writing
Cody Ziglar does an excellent job of keeping you on your toes throughout the entire story, and there were a few moments in Deadpool #11 that really took me by surprise. I’m not one to give away spoilers, but just know that things aren’t as they appear.
What I really appreciate about Deadpool #11 is the clear influence Ellie has on Deadpool. He starts questioning his decisions, like when he considers killing Spider-Man, because Ellie has her doubts. It’s refreshing to see him prioritize his daughter’s feelings. Also, watching them fight together and seeing how well they work as a team was a blast.
The Art
Andrea Di Vito continues to impress with his use of detail that makes it effortless to see the expressions of each and every character. Di Vito also did a great job with illustrating Spider-Man in action, which made each scene with him an absolute delight. I’ll never get tired of seeing Spider-Man and Deadpool together in a story, and Di Vito really made it an exciting thing to see.
Di Vito’s talent mixed with Guru-eFX’s colors and Joe Sabino’s lettering really brought a lot of depth to the already exciting storyline.
Overall Grade – 8.9/10
