Two-Face #3: The cracks are forming within Harvey’s mind as his “bad” side is fighting to escape. In reality, however, the Ventriloquist dummy has been taken and the culprit just may lead Dent to who is behind the chaos in Gotham. It’s a race against time for Harvey as he must find out who is behind this before time runs out.

Story Time:
Christian continues to bring in the lesser-known DC villains, which creates a compelling story. His ability to craft twists and turns keeps this mystery thriller fresh and the reader on the edge of our seats.
When it comes to the side plot that is interweaving within our main plot it is a seemless transition that is bringing everything together in a way that makes sense. His big reveal at the end of this issue is one I should have seen coming but, Christian did such a fantastic job throwing us off the trail that I was caught off guard in a good way. It’s these kinds of details that have me eating out of the palm of this stories hand.
I need more within Harvey’s mind because again, it is fresh and compelling. Nobody has done a story like this before and it’s a hit.
The Art:
The scenes inside Harvey’s mind continue to be the standout artwork pieces within this run. The vibrant colors that often feel as though the pages are actively vibrating create this wanderlust of art. The detail of the background art and how it clashes with the scenery and yet seems to fit elegantly leave me in awe on every panel.
When it comes to Dent in the real world, the way that both faces manage to show different expressions brings this story to life. A standout for me is the stress reaction that Harvey’s body creates which is this gigantic monster keeping the prisoners locked away. These new characters and creatures have this not feeling as though we are playing in a Batman-type world but, something far unfamiliar.
Overall:
Two-Face #3 continues to be a sleeper hit for the DC brand as the twists and turns this mystery takes have it standing out head and shoulders above any typical crime thriller. Christian is adding depth to Harvey Dent and adding to his lore in such a unique manner that more fans need to be reading this story!
Overall Grade: 10/10
