A Real Junkyard Hero
Geiger and Nate save a couple from bandits and send them on the road to Grover’s Corner. As they resume their journey on the school bus, Geiger is acting strange. Suddenly Tariq transforms into the Glowing Man, and all hell breaks loose.
As Geiger begs Nate to help him as he doesn’t understand what is going on. We get the return of Junkyard Joe. Last time Geiger encountered Joe he was being hunted by him. So, there is no reason to trust Junkyard Joe. However, it appears Joe is there to be an ally and assists Nate in helping Tariq. They come across a settlement, but is it a safe refuge or another enemy encampment?
Friend or Foe
Geiger #10 is a very good bridge issue in this series. Taking us from the aftermath of Grover’s Corner to what’s next on the road. As we get a few solutions, we also get a few more unforeseen problems. Add in the return of Junkyard Joe and the introduction of a new threat, this issue delivers it all.
The art in Geiger is some of the best in comics today. The lighting effect of the Glowing Man is astounding. It may seem like a broken record, but it’s well deserved. The penciling, coloring, and lettering is done in such a great harmony that it feels like the team is one.

Final Thoughts
Geiger #10 is a step back and a little slower of a pace than the last few issues. However, what it lacks in action, it makes up for with the bridging story that will take us into the future. This issue is a great jumping on point and should be one that you pick up at your LCS.
Overall Grade: 8.5/10
