The Marvel Multiverse is about to ignite as the Spider-Verse collides with the Venomverse in two explosive one-shots this spring. Announced today, Web of Spider-Verse: New Blood and Web of Venomverse: Fresh Brains are set to deliver an adrenaline-fueled prelude to the reality-shattering conflict, Spider-Verse vs. Venomverse.
New Players, New Stakes
Launching in March and April 2024, these one-shots introduce an electrifying roster of new characters and multiverse twists. From a vampiric Spider-Man to a sinister symbiote Eddie Brock, these issues promise to expand the mythos of both universes.
Mat Groom (Inferno Girl Red) and Luciano Vecchio (I Am Iron Man) helm both titles, with an all-star team of creators—including Greg Pak, Erica Schultz, and David Dastmalchian in his Marvel debut—bringing the multiverse chaos to life.
March: Web of Spider-Verse: New Blood
The Spider-Verse stands as the guardian of the Web of Life and Destiny, but when the Venomverse threatens its very existence, alliances will be tested. Meet three new Spider-heroes:
- Count Parker: A blood-sucking twist on Peter Parker.
- Spider-Prowler: A vigilante with a tech-heavy edge.
- Spider-Hulk: The wall-crawler with gamma-powered strength.
With artwork by Vecchio, Sumit Kumar (Detective Comics), and Alan Robinson (Back to the Future), this issue promises nonstop action and jaw-dropping reveals.
April: Web of Venomverse: Fresh Brains
The Venomverse rallies to protect its Hive-Mind as war looms with the Spider-Verse. Who among the Venomized ranks will rise to the occasion?
- Venomouse: A devious and cunning symbiote.
- Katie Power: A former hero with a symbiotic twist.
- A new Eddie Brock: A fresh take on the Lethal Protector.
This issue features dynamic art by Chris Allen (Miles Morales: Spider-Man), Dylan Burnett (Ant-Man), and Juan José Ryp (X-O Manowar).
Spider-Verse vs. Venomverse: The Ultimate Showdown
These one-shots set the stage for Spider-Verse vs. Venomverse, a five-issue limited series that pits the Spider and Symbiote multiverses against each other. According to Groom, the series explores whether these two factions can withstand the ultimate test—or crack under pressure.
Luciano Vecchio, who designed the event’s characters, shared his excitement:
