Dracula Seeks His Conquest 2099
The story picks up where we left off with the intense battle between Dracula and Starlord, but quickly cuts to the space war happening between the Araneons, vampires, and our impromptu “Guardians of the Galaxy”.
The heroes all have different ideas on how to handle the Araneon forces, with some opting for rehabilitation and others destruction. They eventually find common ground and it’s on to Araneo to face Spidercide and his army.
However, when they arrive, Dracula has overcome Starlords attempts to stop him, freed his Vampire people, and stand ready to face Spidercide and his powerful warrior generals!
Conquest 2099 Character Synergy
Steve Orlando continues to ride the wave of awesomeness in the 2099 universe! With such large scale world and a huge ensemble of characters, he finds a way to ride the line and deliver a dynamic story! It can be daunting with this many high profile characters to give each of them their time to shine, but Steve does it and makes it look easy! Not only do they get their moments, they interact with each other so well. Whether its working together with awesome combo moves or at each others throats, they have depth and end up bringing legitimate conflict to the story.

Conquest 2099 Art Team Goes Big
The art team has done a fantastic job in each issue of rising to the occasion and giving this story the epic battle treatment it deserves. Issue 4 takes it to another level with an action packed battle between Dracula and Starlord.
The fast and wide ranged battle between Earth’s heroes and the Vampires and the Araneons provide us with some crazy cool combo attacks, new powers used in unique ways, and grand spectacles of characters like Red Hulk! All of the pencils and inks capture this grand scale and dynamic movement for readers to follow with excitement.
Colors and letters bring it all to fruition by pulling us into these worlds. It’s easy to lose depth and details in these large scale, sweeping space battles, but colors help to highlight them.
Andrew Dalhouse is a powerhouse in this way. His attention to detail, clever use of palettes, and excellent use of lighting brings the whole story off of the page.
Everything points to 9/10
Conquest 2099 continues to evolve into an amazing space epic. Vampires, Spider people, superheroes, all find a way to make for a dynamic story. Characters and their motivations drive the story. Big sweeping battles are engaging and exciting. The more I see from this team, the more I want. This is one of the best series nobody is talking about!
