This issue is a fabulous addition to the phases of Moonknight.  During this issue, the main character is a woman. It was fascinating to see how she viewed her life, before picking up the mantle. She just wanted to be a kid, and then all of the sudden someone was after her father.

Once her father tried to protect her from evil creatures, the previous Moon Knight swooped in.  She was fascinated to see how Moon Knight could save the day.

Of course once the little girl grew up, and took the mantle, she didn’t know that Khonshu had his own mind.  The woman was named Nakia, and she was also obsessed with the rich history of Egypt.

What I enjoyed is that Nakia liked saving people. Especially during the night, because it seems that her powers were stronger. Nakia also liked to keep to herself during the day, and was super close to her father. Nakia explained that she only had her father, and her mother had passed away a long time ago. Nakia said she feels a certain feeling, to protect the local town that she is from.

I like how the history of MoonKnight is passed down, and Nakia takes the mantle really seriously. I also like that she is kind of like Batman. Wanting to save people through the night, and not talk about it much.  The story overall is so action-packed. Each panel is really detailed when MoonKnight is saving the day.  This seems like this is wrapping up one of the phases of Moonknight, when the reader gets to the end. There seems to be multiple stories that are going to be displayed.

I really hope to see Nakia again, and read more about her family. I wish there were some comic panels that explained her relationship with her mom before she passed away. I also would’ve loved to see if Nakia had some siblings, and how their sibling relationship worked. I’m hoping to see another person take up the mantle of Moon Knight, and their story will be a lot different than Nakia’s.

I give this a 8.5/10.
