Catch up with House of Slaughter #26!
“The ghoul roaming the halls has an origin shrouded in mystery, but Nolan is determined to find the truth, even if it means scouring a wealth of dour information about deaths across the houses.
There’s something unexpected connecting the deceased hunters, and a plot for control that has been brewing in the background is finally revealed!”
Mysteries Everywhere
Nolan, a house hunter who’s made it his mission to find answers to questions that no one wants asked, is on the cusp to solving the mystery about the deaths across the houses. Nolan’s secret investigation has lead him to Edwin Slaughter, a very peculiar person who now works in the morgue. Nolan knows that Edwin could be the key to his questions about the mysterious deaths, but Nolan may be realizing that Edwin could be more than he bargained for. Nolan is extremely suspicious of Edwin, but perhaps Edwin isn’t the one he should worry about. Maybe Edwin is just as much in the dark as he is.
VOTE IN THIS YEARS’ CHEERSIES!
House of Slaughter #27 is an eerie and dark continuation of a story that you can’t help yourself but become invested in. If eerie horror comics are your thing, then House of Slaughter is absolutely a comic you should check out. The compelling mystery of the story has you locked in throughout the entire comic, you won’t want to put the book down.
The Writing
There’s so much character building in House of Slaughter #27 happening in regards to Edwin, but you still aren’t able to make up your mind about him. I like how well you’re able to feel the frustration and apprehension from Nolan when he speaks to Edwin and Bait. There’s definitely a feeling of tension throughout the book that’s written expertly to keep you compelled to every sentence.
Something else I really enjoyed was the inner dialogue coming from Nolan. I think it perfectly shows the inner battle he’s having with himself and the apprehension he has when conversing with Edwin.
The Art
The art of House of Slaughter #27 is as dark as the story is, which makes it perfect for the comic. It really brings a whole other level of darkness to the story. With close ups of the character’s faces, you can truly see the worry and tension in each panel. The facial expressions of the characters juxtaposed with their brightly colored eyes adds even more depth to what the characters are saying.
